When will IsatPhone Pro be launched?

What will the price be?
- Inmarsat will not be releasing the suggested retail price of the handset until closer to launch. But we expect it to be competitively priced to encourage users to test the phone.
What features does the phone have?

- IsatPhone Pro will provide the ultimate combination of a robust handset that's easy to use, with long battery life, a reliable network connection with clear voice quality, and global coverage.
What coverage will be available?
- The IsatPhone Pro service will be available on a global basis at launch over the Inmarsat-4 satellites, which will have an operational life into the 2020's.
Who is IsatPhone Pro designed for?
- IsatPhone Pro is primarily designed for professional users in the government, media, aid, oil and gas, mining and construction sectors. However, the competitive offering will inevitably broaden its appeal to a wide range of users.
What accessories will be available?
- There will be a range of docking stations available to enable use of the handset indoors, in a vehicle and at sea. Full details will be released closer to launch. Other accessories such as Bluetooth headsets and solar chargers will also be available through Inmarsat's partners.
What are the plans around SPS migration?
- Inmarsat does not plan to close SPS-based services until global variants have been launched to replace them. In this context, Inmarsat intends to support the SPS-based versions of IsatPhone LandPhone and FleetPhone until at least 2011. However, Inmarsat does not plan to commission any further production of SPS terminals. SPS SIMs will not be supported in IsatPhone Pro handsets and vice versa. Inmarsat does intend to offer a promotional incentive to encourage SPS users to upgrade to the new IsatPhone Pro.
When will future products within the GSPS family be launched?
- Inmarsat currently plans to launch global versions of the FleetPhone and LandPhone in 2011. A secure version of the IsatPhone for the government market is also in the pipeline and Inmarsat will confirm launch details as they become available.
